Near the end of March, I started an online journal called COVID-19 Chronicle, where I periodically post about how my shelter-in-place life is going. Even if I didn’t post every day, I wanted to keep some kind of a record. After the fact, I realized it might be nice to re-post those blog entries here, where more readers may check in. So, I’m going to start the re-posting process now (it’s April 8, 2020). Thanks for reading along!

Welcome to my COVID-19 Chronicle

“I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear.” ~ Joan Didion

Hey there. Welcome to my COVID-19 Chronicle, where I try to remain balanced physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually through this crisis. If you’re here, you’ve got an internet connection, which not everyone has… I hope this journal will provide another bit of human connection, wherever you may be on this fragile planet of ours at this particular moment in time.

You can expect some personal writing, photos, videos, and links to the writing, images, and music of others. I want to keep the vibe as chill as possible. I may not always succeed. My own fears, anxiety, and anger at U.S. politics may leak through, but I will try to save that for Facebook or screaming into the woods. I will try to share articles and stories that inform rather than inflame, that uplift rather than stoke helplessness. I’m trying to find ways to get and stay grounded, and I hope this little offering to the world helps you get and stay grounded, but informed, too.

Here we go…
